What is the Internet?

Home | Page Title

Conclusion

The question "What is the Internet" is hard to answer because the definition for what the Internet is, is different to everyone who uses it. For some it is a tool for business, others it is an easy access to entertainment.

The Future

Some people predict that the Internet will become so big that it will collapse upon itself. The demand for energy that the internet and technology will need, will eventually get so big that the world will not be able to handle it and we might all die or return to live life the same as we did in the middle ages. Others think that humans will become so dependant on the internet that they will be put into a vegtable state, living a virtual reality with mini computers planted in their heads...and machines will take over the world...kind of Matrix style. I dont think it will be this bad. People will eventually have high-speed internet connections all around the world. Internet will be on mobile phones and smaller computers. PCs will become smaller and smaller and have more memory and they will become cheaper. Soon everyone will be connected to the Internet one way or another.
